Katie Pliscofsky Owner/ Trainer
Hi guys! I'm Katie, a business owner, dog trainer, wife, and mother of two who has been surrounded by dogs and many other animals my entire life. I also had experience training and working with horses at a young age. Working with horses showed me how to be assertive and gentle at the same time. I learned to always get back on whenever I fell off and never back down from a challenge.
My family and I have owned many difficult dogs over the years forcing me to learn more about dog behaviors and training. Overcoming serious challenges with my own dogs lead me to my passion for training dogs.
I attended (multiple times 2016 & 2017) Train the Trainers T3 a unique workshop/school focusing on balanced training methods and behavior modification, taught by Sean O'Shea of The Good Dog Training & Rehabilitation (an internationally-recognized dog trainer, and Author of Love Them by Leading Them) Jeff Gellman of Solid K9 Training and RV Dog Trainer (an aggression specialist who travels the world presenting his seminars) and Victoria Smith of Take the Lead K9 training. I continually attend seminars and workshops to learn and master new methods and approaches to dog training and rehabilitation. In April 2017, I attended Introduction to Socialization a Tribute to Dick Russell presented by Chad Mackin and Jason Vasconi two well-renowned trainers who specialize in dog socialization. I spent a week shadowing and learning new things from Balanced Life K9 in Plattsburgh NY. I attended Play As The Way, presented by Jay Jack, and Large Field Socialization Lifesaver, with Jason Vasconi in 2018. In 2019-20 I spent three months interning at The Good Dog in Los Angeles, where I l handled more challenging dogs and worked with a great team.
I love working with owners to help them achieve peace and harmony with their dogs.
